GODDESS PRAYER

GODDESS PRAYER:  THE LOVE OF GOD

THE FOLLOWING IS A PRAYER THAT I ALWAYS RECITE OR READ EVERY DAY TO REMIND ME THAT MY LIFE IS BLESSED AND THERE IS THIS HIGHER POWER AND  INFINITE INTELLIGENCE WHO LOVES ME AND BLESSES ME EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE HERE IN THIS WORLD AND BEYOND.
THIS PRAYER IS ALSO AN AFFIRMATION THAT GOD'S WEALTH IS CIRCULATING IN MY LIFE.  AND HIS WEALTH IS SO CLOSE TO ME IN AN AVALANCE OF ABUNDANCE THAT ALL MY NEEDS, GOALS, DREAMS, DESIRE, PLANS, AND PROJECTS IN MY LIFE IN THIS LIFE ARE MET INSTANTANEOUSLY BY THE POWER OF HIS INFINITE INTELLIGENCE. HE IS WITH ME AND HE IS MY EVERYTHING.

THE LOVE OF GOD

Praise the Lord, my soul!
All my being, praise His Holy Name!
Praise the Lord, my soul, and do not forget how kind He is.
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
He keeps me from the grave and blesses me with love and mercy.
He fills my life with good things, so that I stay young and strong like an eagle.

The Lord judges in favor of the oppressed and gives them their rights.
The Lord is merciful  and loving, slow to become angry and full of constant love.
He does not keep on rebuking; He is not angry forever.
He does not punish us as we deserve or repay us according to our sins and wrongs.

As high as the sky is above the earth, so great  is His love for those who honor Him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our sins from us.
As a father is kind to his children, so the Lord is kind to those who honor Him.
He knows what we are made of; He remembers that we are dust.

As for us, our life is like grass.
We grow and flourish like a wild flower; then the wind blows on it, and it is gone ---
no one sees it again.
But for those who honor the Lord, His love lasts forever, and His goodness endures for all generations of those who are true to His covenant and who faithfully obey His commands.

The Lord placed His throne in heaven; He is king over all.
Praised the Lord, you strong and mighty angels, who obey His commands,
who listen to what He says.
Praised the Lord, all you heavenly powers, you servants of His,
who do His will!
Praise the Lord, all His creatures in all the places He rules.

Praise the Lord, my soul!

(InStyle/December 2012)

Here are some of Catherine Zeta Jones' Secrets and Quotes she lives by.

"Being glamorous is about strength and confidence.  It's black-and-white - dramatic.  You have to be strong as a woman."

"I don't deny myself food.  I'm no saint.  I love butter and cream, but I also eat lots of grains and fruits."

"I admire women whose style is low-key -- not done up but still chic and smart."

"I love fashion, love it, but I know exactly what looks good on my body.  I never been a victim of trends."

"Where do I love to shop?  Capri, Italy.  Where I'm there, I buy floaty dresses you can't wear anywhere else.  It's a magical place."

"I used to go around looking as frumpy as possible because it was inconceivable you could be attractive as well as be smart.  It wasn't until I started being myself, the way I like to turn out to meet people, that I started to get any work."

"I like woman who look like women.  I hated grunge.  No one's more feminist than me, but you don't have to look as if you don't give a - you know.  You can be smart, bright, and attractive aesthetically to others - and to yourself."

"I love clothes, and yes, we go out, but it's not like I'm walking around all
day in a neglige with fluffy mules.  We're country people, really.  I garden and knit.  I golf.  We ride horses.  I grew up in the country in Wales.  It's true, I don't like the whole cutoff-shorts-and-T-shirt look, but I think you can look fantastic in casual clothes.  I even find a way to make golf clothes look good; I put my collar up, get a sporty hat, and throw on an Hermes scarf."

On Marriage and Michael Douglas:

"For marriage to be success, every woman and every man should have her and his own bathroom.  The end."

"I do think I'm lucky I met Michael.  Not just Michael Douglas the actor and producer with two Oscars on the shelf, but Michael Douglas, the love of my life.  I really do think it was meant to happen."

"Yes, I was in love with my husband at first sight and still am.  We have the most solid relationship."

Michael's family always thanks me for bringing in reality, some fresh air.  The way he grew up, well, let's just say I didn't grow up like that.  I wasn't raised by nannies.  My parents, they're very down-to-earth.  Michael's family really gets a kick out of it."

On Her Secrets for having a Gorgeous Body:

"I'm obsessed with Hula-Hooping.  I do it for 20 minutes a day.  I don't use the old-fashioned hollow plastic kind we had when we were kids."

"I'm lucky to have a pool at my house in Westchester.  I do laps for a half hour a day when I can."

"I don't have a trainer, but I don't need anyone to motivate me.  I love exercise, even things like the elliptical machine and stretching.  It's a legacy of dancing all those years.  It really helps my mood too, which, with the bipolar thing, is important.  I either work out in the house or, when I'm at our apartment in Manhattan, at an Equinox.  I do at least 45 minutes a day, seven days a week."

"There's no way I could work out without music.  I listen to a lot of Prince, and I love Florence and the Machine.  And Adele, of course.  I really want to be her and Alicia Keys too."

On Her Favorite Designers, Piece of Jewelry, and Beauty Must Nowadays:

"Of course there's Chanel, Helmut Lang, and I love McQueen plus nowadays, I am wearing a lot of Pucci.  But Stella McCartney is special.  Her fit is perfect for me, and I've known her since I was 20.  I met her in London when I was starting out, and I had no idea who she was.  We would chat on the phone and hang out, talking about guys.  One night we were joking about a guy we knew from Liverpool, and she said, "That's so on the mark because, you know, my dad is from there."  I said, "Your dad's from Liverpool?"  I had no idea.  She's totally unassuming.  I was clueless."

"My favorite piece of jewelry probably my engagement ring.  It's a marquise cut turned on its side.  Michael chose it.  He's brilliant."

"My beauty must have are my eyelash curler and La Prairie skin care."

On Her Struggles on Being Bipolar:

"It is not easy.  I'm not the kind of person who likes to shout out my personal issues from the rooftops, but with my bipolar becoming public, I hope fellow sufferers will know it is completely controllable.  I hope I can help remove any stigma attached to it, and that those who don't have it under control will seek help with all that is available to treat it.
